Robin has to cover a distance of (2x^2 + 4x + 9) metres by car. After travelling a distance of
(x² + 3x + 2) metres the car broke down. Robin travelled the remaining distance by bus. How
much distance Robin travelled by bus?​

Total distance to cover = (2x²+4x+9)

Distance covered by car = (x²+3x+2)

So, the distance covered by bus => the total distance - distance covered by car

= (2x²+4x+9)  - (x²+3x+2)

= 2x²+4x+9 -x² -3x -2

= 2x²-x²+4x-3x+9-2

= x²-x+7

So, the distance covered by bus = x²-x+7
