Question:-

Robin's age is three less than 3/2 times the age of Manu and two more than 4/7 times the age of John. If John's age is 70, what is the age of Manu?

Solution:-

First according to second condition Robin age is two more than 4/7 times the age of John

So Robin age is

\mathtt \blue{ = 2 +  \frac{4}{7}  \times 70}

 \mathtt \blue{ = 2  +  4 \times 10}

\mathtt \blue{ = 2 + 40}

\mathtt \blue{ = 42}

Now according to first condition Robin age is 3 less 3/2 times the age of Manu

Let Manu age be x

\mathtt \blue{42 =  3 -  \frac{3}{2}  \times x}

\mathtt \blue{ 42 = 3 -  \frac{3x}{2}  }

 \mathtt \blue{42 =  \frac{6x - 3x}{2} }

\mathtt\blue{42 =  \frac{3x}{2} }

\mathtt\blue{42 \times 2 = 3x}

\mathtt\blue{84 = 3x}

\mathtt\blue{ \frac{84}{3}  = x}

\mathtt\blue{28 = x}

Manu age is 28 years.
