The percentage of pages that he has torn is 9.833%

Given,

Pages in Physics Book = 120 pages

Pages in Chemistry Book = 10% more than Physics book

Pages in Biology Book = 10% less than Physics book

Pages Torn → 5% of Physics + 10% of Chemistry + 15% of Biology

To Find,

Percentage of pages torn

Solution,

Pages in Chemistry Book = 10% more than Physics book

Pages in Chemistry Book = 10% of 120 + 120

Pages in Chemistry Book = \frac{10*120}{100} + 120 = 12 + 120

Pages in Chemistry Book = 132 pages

Pages in Biology Book = 10% less than Physics book

Pages in Biology Book = 120 - 10% of 120

Pages in Biology Book = 120 - \frac{10*120}{100} = 120 - 12

Pages in Biology Book = 108 pages

Pages Torn → 5% of Physics + 10% of Chemistry + 15% of Biology

Pages Torn → 5% of 120 + 10% of 132 + 15% of 108

Pages Torn → \frac{5*120}{10} + \frac{10*132}{100} + \frac{15*108}{100}

Pages Torn → 6 + 13.2 + 16.2 = 35.4

Total number of pages = 120 + 132 + 108 = 360 pages

% of pages torn = \frac{35.4}{360} * 100

% of pages torn = 9.833%

Thus, the percentage of pages that he has torn is 9.833%
