π  radian is the phase change.

Explanation:

Given that,

Frequency of the wave = 500 Hz

Velocity(v) = 200 m/s

Time(t) = 10^-3

λ = 200/500 = 0.4

In t 10^-3 seconds,

The movement of the wave = v * t

= 200 * 10^-3

= 0.2 m

so, here the path difference be x = 0.2 m

Using the relation,

∅ = 2πx/λ

The phase difference, x = 0.2 m turns

∅  = 2π * 0.2/0.4

∵ ∅ = π  radian
