The lack of light of the sun has dried there compassion and consideration for other .They do not gain their humanity until they spend some time in the light of the sun the sun is life giving for the landscape as well as the inhabitants of vienus.
The writer illustrate this theme by depicting the life of a group of school children in the planet venus The children are nine years old and living with their family after seven years of continuse rain the scientists of Venus have predicted that the sun will some out for a brief period of time The children have seen the sun once in there lives but they were two years old and they dint remember how it looks or feel .So they r eagerly waiting to see the sun this is true of all children but one name Margot. She had lived in Ohio until she was five year .She has many memories of the sun so with out the sun she has been in a depressed state. She looks out of window silently for the rain to stop and the sun to come out .The other children resent her and locked her in a clost while there teacher is gone. Margot resists but is overpowered and is locked in a far way closet.
After some moment the rain stop and the sun came out .All the children ran play and enjoy the light of the sun.After some time the rain cloud appear and the sun retreat and rain began to fall .A girl remember Margot who is locked In the closet. Then all the children walked towards the clost unlocked the door and let Margot come out .Their attitude towards change after they spend some time in the light of the Sun
