Answer:

total money on washing machine = 6500rs

s.p for scooter = 7800rs

profit = 7800-6500

         = 1300rs

profit % = 1300/6500 * 100

             = 20%

Note; this profit % is on the price for washoing machine

profit % (on s.p for scooter) = 1300/7800 * 100

                                                = 16.7%

Hope it helps!!!!!

Gain percentage = 20%

Given:

Price of the washing machine = Rs 5500

Money spent on repairing the machine = Rs 1000

Price at which the machine was sold = Rs 7800

To find:

Gain percentage

Solution:

Rohan bought the washing machine for Rs 5500

He repairs the washing machine for Rs 1000

Therefore, the total cost price or C.P of the washing machine

           = Rs 5500 + Rs 1000 = Rs 6500

C.P = Rs 6500

Rohan sells the washing machine for Rs 7800

The selling price or S.P = Rs 7800

The profit Rohan makes = S.P - C.P = Rs 7800 - Rs 6500 = Rs 1300

Profit = Gain = Rs 1300

Gain percentage = (Gain/C.P) x 100

                             = (Rs 1300/Rs 6500) x 100 = 20

Gain percentage = 20%
