Hello !

Let the present age of Rahul be x years .

Then His father's present age = 3 × x

Four years ago:-

Rahul's age = x - 4 years

The father's age = 4 ×(x-4) years or 3 x - 4

Then ,

⇒ 4(x-4) - 3x -4

⇒ 4x - 16 = 3x -4

⇒ 4x - 3x = 16 -4

⇒ x = 12 years . Ans.

The present age of Rahul is 12 years.

Step-by-step explanation:

{\mathfrak{\boxed{\boxed{\huge{\red {Hola\:mate}}}}}}

Let the sons age be x

Then the fathers age be 4x

After 5 years=

Son= x+5

Father= 4x+5

3(x+5)=4x+5

3x+15=4x+5

15-5=4x-3x

10= x

Rohan age=10 years

Father age =10×4

=40years
