Answer:

1/3 is the answer

Step-by-step explanation:

 No. of apples he had=30       no. of apples he gave to his brother=20                      Then, no. of apples left with him=30-20=10                                                                So, fraction of apples which is left with him=left/total=10/30=1/3

Given:

Rohan had 30 apples with him. He gave 20 of them to elder brother Raju.

To Find:

What fraction of apples are left with him?

Solution :

No. of apples Rohan had = 30/30

No. of apples he gave = 20/30

Finding No. of apples left with him:

 =  >  \dfrac{30}{30}  -  \dfrac{20}{30}

 =  >  \dfrac{30 - 20}{30}

 =  >  \dfrac{10}{30}

 =  >  \dfrac{1}{3}

Hence, 1/3 fraction of apples is left with him
