Answer:

7 pieces

Explanation:

total length of cloth = 3.5 * 100 cm

no. of cloth of each length 50 cm = 3.5 * 100

                                                                 50

                                                        = 7

Solution :-

Given ,

  • Piece of cloth = 3.5 m

To find ,

  • How many small pieces does it form each of 50cm

Here , we need to find the number of pieces that each length is 50 cm . To find this firstly we need to make the unit of measurement should be equal in units .

So ,

3.5 m cm

As we know that , 1m = 100cm

Now , it can be written as

( 1 + 1 + 1 + 0.5 )m

Substituting , 1 m = 100cm

• ( 100 + 100 + 100 + 50 )cm

3.5 m = 350 cm

Now ,

Number of pieces = Length of total cloth ÷ 50cm of cloth.

→ No. of pieces = 350 ÷ 50

→ No. of pieces = 35 ÷ 5

No. of pieces = 7

Hence , the piece of cloth can be made 7 pieces of length 50 cm
