Rohan has to reach office from his house First he went to bank to take out money, then tohis son's school to attend PTM and than to office. If position of his home, bank school and office are A(2, 4), B(5, 8), C(13, 14) and D(13, 26) respectively. Find the total distance covered by him from his house to his office covering all the places?

=> AD = ✓{(5-2)² + (8-4)²} = ✓25 = 5 units

BC = ✓{(13-5)² + (14-8)²} = ✓100 = 10 units

CD = ✓{(13-13)² + (26-14)²} = ✓144 = 12 units

Now,

Total distance travelled = AD + BC + CD

=> (5 + 10 + 12) units = 27 units.
