Given:-

  • Side of the square = 78 m
  • Rohan runs 3 round around it.

To Find:-

  • The distance travelled by him.

Solution:-

Here it is given in the question that Rohan runs around the square plot it means that he runs across the arms of the square plot. Hence first we need to find the perimeter of the field.

We know,

Perimeter of square = (4 × side) units.

Here the side of the square plot is 78 metres

Hence,

Perimeter of the plot = 4 × 78 = 312 m

Therefore the perimeter of the plot is 312 m.

It means that in one round Rohan covers 312 m

Since it is given in the question that Rohan runs 3 round across the plot, we need to multiply the perimeter by 3.

Distance travelled by Rohan = 312 × 3 = 936 m.

Therefore Rohan covers 936 m running three rounds across the square plot.
