rohan's mother age is 26 year older than rohan. if after 3 year the multiplication of their age will be 360. find the present age?

Let Rohan's age be X yrs

=> Rohan's mother's age will be x+26

ATQ

(x+3)*(x+26+3) = 360
=> (x+3)(x+29) = 360
=> x² + 32x+ 87 = 360
=> x² + 32x - 273 =0

Using Middle Term Split method
=> x² +39x-7x -273 = 0
=> x(x+39)-7(x+39) = 0
=>( x-7)(x+39) = 0

=> either x-7=0 or x+39=0
=> x=7 or x= -39
Age can't ne -ve therefore x=7

=> Rohan's age is 7yrs and his mother's age is 7+26=33yrs.
