Answer:

Rs.5220 is the answer for the given problem

Step-by-step explanation:

Let his total income be Rs.R

His saving is Rs.540

Spends on Insurance policy = 24%of R

Spends on Food = 34%of R

Spends on Children's education =19%of R

Spends on recreation =17% of R

His total percentage of expenditure

= 24%+34%+19%+17%=94%of R ,then we have

His saving percentage = 6%of R=540 (given)

=>(6/100)×R =540

=>R =(540×100)/6

=>R=90×100

Therefore R=9000

Rohan's total income =Rs.9000

Now ,

Spends on insurance policy = 24%of R

=>(24/100)×9000

=>24×90

=>Rs.2160

and ,

Spends on food = 34%of R

=>(34/100)×9000

=>34×90

=>Rs.3060

we have,

Amount spent on food = Rs.3060

Amount spent on Insurance policy =Rs.2160

Total amount spent on food and insurance policy together = Rs.3060+Rs.2160=Rs.5220
