If the cleaning action of vinegar is used instead of water, then the ammonia won't function because of neutralization.

  • The ammonia disassociates to its ion format in water and hence a solution of ammonia in water can be used to clean tiles in the kitchen.

  • However, if ammonia is dissolved in vinegar instead of water, then the ammonia will not be able to function as neutralization reaction will occur. No ions will be formed
