Abhishek's wooden article has greater volume

Step-by-step explanation:

For Rohit's  wooden article

as he's asked to scooping out hemisphere from cylinder

height of the cylinder = 10 cm

radius of base o hemisphere and cylinder = 7 cm

then

volume of wooden article = volume of cylinder - volume of hemisphere

= \pi r^2h- \frac{2}{3} \pi r^3

= \frac{22}{7} (7)^2(10) - \frac{2}{3} \times \frac{22}{7} \time(7)^3

= 1540 - 718.67

= 821.33..cm³

therefore

the volume of Rohit wooden article is 821.33..cm³

For Abhishek wooden article

he's asked to scooping out cone  from cylinder

height of cylinder = 10 cm

radius of cone and cylinder = 7 cm

height of the cone = 3 cm

volume of wooden article = volume of cylinder - volume of cone

= \pi r^2h - \frac{1}{3}\pi r^2h

= \frac{22}{7} (7)^2(10) - \frac{1}{3} \times\frac{22}{7} \times(7)^2 (3)

= 1540 - 154

= 1386 cm³

therefore

volume of wooden article of Abhishek is 1386 cm³

hence , Abhishek's wooden article has greater volume
