Given :-

Total marks of theory exams = 200

Total marks of practical = 50

Marks secured in 1st theory exam = 65%

Marks secured in 2nd theory exam = 82%

Total percentage secured = 78%

To Find :-

Marks obtained in practical exam

Solution :-

Overall total = 100 + 100 + 50 = 250

He got 78% in total

= 78 % of 250

= 78/100 × 250

= 39 × 5

= 195

=> He got 195 out of 250

Total marks obtained in 1st theory exam

= 65% of 100

= 65/100 × 100

= 65

Total marks obtained in 2nd theory exam

= 82% of 100

= 82/100 × 100

= 82

Let the total marks obtained in practical exam be x

According to question,

65 + 82 + x = 195

=> 147 + x = 195

=> x = 195 - 147

=> x = 48

Therefore, he obtained 48 marks out of 50 in the practical exam.
