Rohit sold the item for 660
profit % = 10
Let us suppose his buying price be x
so,
x + 10% of x = 660
⇒ x + 10/100 × x = 660
⇒ 11/10 x = 660 ⇒ x = 600
that means he bought the item for rs. 600
now,
he bought it at 25% discount.
Let us suppose the Marked Price of the item be y
so,
y - 25% of y = 600
⇒ y - 25/100 y = 600
⇒ y - 1/4 y = 600 ⇒ y = 800

so the MP IS 800
