rohit got 10% increase his salary his new salary is 13585 what was his salary before the increase

we know that percentage is always 100 but here it increases 10 % to become 13585 so, here we take whole percentage 110 %

his previous salary = 100/110×13585

= 12,350

hence, his previous salary is 12350
