let initial selling price be,
SP = x
Rohit marks his goods at 40% above the city but allows a discount of 5% for cash payment
so, SP = x + 40% x - 5%x
SP = 100%x + 40%x - 5%
SP = 135% x
if he received rupees 1064 after allowing the discount
SP = 1064
135% = 1064
if 35% increase then there should be 25.92% decrease
so 25.92% decrease in 1064 is 275.85 or 276
so profit is 276 and,
initial price before increment is 788
