score in 6th innings = X6 = 4×(X)

X = avg. in previous 5 games

% increase in his avg. =( (avg. of 6 innings) - ( avg. of 5 innings) ) / (avg. of 5 innings)

= ( (5/6)(X) + (4/6)(X) - (X) ) / ( X )

= 1/2

= 50%

There is increment of 50% in his average score.

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the average of his score in the previous 5 games be 'x'.

Sum of his scores becomes 5x

Now, his score is 4 times the average in the previous 5 games.

So, it becomes

4x

So, his average becomes,

\dfrac{5x+4x}{6}=\dfrac{9x}{6}=1.5x

So, percentage of increase in his average becomes

\dfrac{1.5x-x}{x}\times 100\\\\=\dfrac{0.5}{1}\times 100\\\\=50\%

Hence, there is increment of 50% in his average score.
