cost price of the article for Rohit = Rs 10.73

Step-by-step explanation:

Let say cost Price of article = C  Rs

Rohit sold an article to Kartik at a profit of 2.5 %

=> Profit  = (2.5/100)C  =  C/40   Rs

Selling Price = C + C/40  = 41C/40

Cost Price for Karthik = 41C/40  Rs

Karthik sold this article to Manish at a loss of 10%

=> Loss  = (10/100)(41C/40)  = 41C/400 Rs

Selling Price = 41C/40 - 41C/400

= (410C - 41C)/400

= 369C/400  Rs

369C/400 = 9.9

=> C = 3960/369

=> C =10.73

cost price of the article for Rohit = Rs 10.73
