rohit sold some 20share paying 8% dividend at 10% discount and invested the procedes in rs 10 shares paying 12%dividend at 50% premium if the change in his annual income is rs600 find the no shares sold by rohit

I don't think the qs is quite right.
U are supposed to be assuming that the investment is Rs.x
Then find n in terms of x by dividing investment by the market value
Find the income for both the years and subtract to give Rs. 600

But, I'm afraid that I am getting the answer in point.

Actually the correct question is


Rohit sold some 20rs shares paying 8% dividend ,at 10% discount and invested the proceeds in 10rs shares paying 12%dividend at 50% premium .If change in his annual income is 600rs .find the number of shares sold by him
