Let his monthly salary be x

Rohit spends 40% of his salary on food

He spends on food =0.4x

He spends on house rent =20%= 0.2x

He spends on entertainment = 10% =0.1x

He spends on conveyance=0.1x

Total expenditure = 0.4x+0,2x+0,1x+0,1x=0.8x

Savings = x- 0,8x = 0.2 x

We are given that his savings at the end of a month are rs. 1500

0.2x=1500

$x=\frac{1500}{0.2}$

x=7500

Hence His monthly salary is Rs.7500
