Role of changing attitude towards environment
Answers
Society, culture, power, organizations and groups are dependent on the actions of the individuals. The society is the source of knowledge, skills, language, motives and orientations of an individual. The individual is born into and shaped by the society at the same time the society owes its existence to the conduct of the individuals.
The environmental behaviour of the people who live in the society is influenced by the general attitude of the society towards environment. If the culture of a particular group of people is to be conscious of the environment then it is reflected positively in the consumption patterns and waste management practices of the society. On the other hand, if there is no environmental awareness in the culture the people tend to have a 'don't care' attitude towards the environment.
Now that the people have become conscious of the environmental issues environmentally friendly behavioural patterns are being adopted and action is being taken at the individual, corporate, national and international levels.
