Chlorenchyma – parenchyma which contains chlorophyll and performs photosynthesis is called as chlorenchyma. Ø Aerenchyma – parenchyma containing large air cavities to give buoyancy to the plants to help them float is called aerenchyma. Ø Collenchyma – provides support and is irregularly thickened at the corners.
