Decomposers are very important for anyecosystem. If they weren't in the ecosystem, the plants would not get essential nutrients, and dead matter and waste would pile up.

Decomposers break the complex organic matter into inorganic substances like Carbon dioxide ,water,and nutrients and the process is called decomposition
