National Integration as a concept has been synonymous with the process of a modern political system comprising chiefly of nation states. Although historians attribute the post-colonial phase after the second world war as the watershed time frame for the growth of national integration. Especially so, as the colonial domination in most countries led to unprecedented mass mobilization in favor of retaining their national culture and identity. Even in India, national integration was actively promoted since the very inception of Independence struggle against the British. Manifestos of Indian National Congress even in the pre Independence era, regularly identified national integration across regions, religions, and groups as the most essential factor to mobilize people against British domination. Crucial to the understanding of National Integration is the principle of integration or integrationist approach in political science, which in simple terms mean that smaller groups come together keeping their identities intact, to face challenges better which as a separate unit they could not tackle with.

In the modern world education is not just a requirement and moral value, but also an expensive market product. One of the major characteristics of modern education is the directly proportional relationship between the age of educational institution and its value.
