The elderly people influence each and every aspect of our life. The elderly people are our roots that support us at the base underground; though they are hidden underground, our existence without them is impossible. As there can be no present without the past, similarly, the young cannot have their being without the elderly. We forget to comprehend the power of the old that is keeping the world stable. Our very life will come to a standstill without the elderly. 'Old is gold' aptly describes the importance of old people in our life.

Elders play a very significant role in shaping children into responsible citizens. If the elders themselves are men and women who practice high moral principles, they will surely teach their children to become responsible citizens. Children also, in their company will adopt all the good things such as responsible attitude, obligations to the society, etc.

So, in conclusion it can be said that elders play a pivotal role in shaping us into responsible citizens by giving us the required moral and ethical training
