Electro therapy or Electro simulation is used in various applications such as fracture repair, pain management and wound therapy. Physicians normally use pulsed  electromagnetic field  (PEMF) for repair of fracture. Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Simulation (TENS) for pain control.  It imitates the natural current that occurs in the injured skin. If it is applied to the injured tissue it increases the migration of macrophages and neutrophils and stimulates fibroblasts.
