The epidermis, the outermost layer of skin, provides a waterproof barrier and creates our skin tone. The dermis, beneath the epidermis, contains tough connective tissue, hair follicles, and sweat glands.

Epidermis are present in roots of plants used for absorption of minerals and water to different parts of the plant which is then transport ed to the different parts through root pressure present in roots
