The main role of gastric juice is to digest proteins while the main role of pancreatic juice is to digest carbohydrates and fat.

1) Gastric juice is a thin,clear and colorless acid fluid secreted by the stomach glands and is active in promoting digestion.Whereas pancreatic juice is a clear alkaline fluid secreted by the pancreas.

2) Gastric juice is secreted by gastric glands,whereas pancreatic juice is secreted by exocrine glands.

3) Gastric juice contains hydrochloric acid,pepsin,intrinsic factor ,mucus and water.Pancreatic juice contains bicarbonate,trypcinogen,chymotrypinogen,elastase,carboxypeptidase,

pancreatic lipase,nucleases and amylases.
