the main role of goblet cell is to secrete mucus in order to protect mucous membranes where they are found.it is found among epithelial lining of organs such as respiratory tracts and intestinal tracts.they are found inside trachea , bronchi and larger bronchioles in respiratory tract , small intestine large intestine and conjunctiva in upper eyelid.
