On a personal note deviating from the question asked ,I think India could learn a lot from ASEAN and implement it in SAARC. We could start by having regular talks with our neighbouring countries, this works as a major confidence building measure.ASEAN countries have had a tremendously bad relation earlier ,regular talks and a pragmatic culture to change themselves so that they could be a part of a regional cooperation has made ASEAN today so successful! If they can do it so can we!
