Role of learner in knowledge construction
Knowledge construction cannot be achieved when students merely reproduce what they have already learned. If knowledge construction is a process by which students generate ideas and understandings, the focus of classroom instruction should be on helping students to learn and experience this process.
Learner are the participants of the process of acquiring knowledge and this is done through construction and transmission of the new information acquired.
The learner has the following roles
Actively participate in the learning process
Produce good result from the acquired information concerning the topic of discussion.
Learner have the role of ensuring that the learning process is smooth and can lead to a successful transmission after the construction.
The individual characteristics enable the learner to access the information in a very fast way.
