Women play an important role in the development of a society and the nation. In the era of “modern times”, the world is witnessing a rapid change, for the positive, in the role of women and their status. However, the transition is not happening at the same pace across the globe and, unfortunately, there seems to be little change in how women are perceived in rural India.
