Soil microorganisms, generally fungi and bacteria are more or less deeply naturally associated with plant roots. These microorganisms can facilitate directly or indirectly, the availability of certain nutrients such as nitrogen, phosphorus and water, and produce substances called plant hormones promoting plant growth.
