Carbohydrates - Carbohydrates are one of the major macro nutrients in our diet and its main function is to provide energy to our body. They occur in different forms like sugars and dietary fibre and also in different foods such as grains, fruit and vegetables.

Lipids - Lipids function as an energy reserve , regulate hormones, transmit nerve impulses, cushion vital organs and transport fat soluble nutrients. Lipids or fats in food , serves as an energy source with high caloric density.

Water - Water regulates body temperature and moistens tissues in our eyes, nose and mouth. It protects our body organs and tissues. It also helps in carrying nutrients and oxygen to our cells.

Vitamins - Vitamins are considered as very essential nutrient to our body as they perform most of the roles in our body. They help shore up bones, heal wounds, and bolster our immune system. They also convert food into energy, and repair cellular damage.
