Rajputs played a vital role in giving trainings to Sikhs. Many Rajput princes got baptised by sikh Gurus and later they become Sikh Rajputs who used to call themselves Hindu and a Sikh too. Sikh Rajputs were a group of Rajput princes and their descendants who converted to Sikhism under the great influence of the Sikh gurus .
These Rajput princes played major role insikhism by militalisiting common Sikhs who were mostly peasants and traders . They gave their Shastravidya to the common Sikhs which was before that exclusive to Rajput princes only
Such was the affection of the Sikh Gurus with them that theseRajput princes gave their lives in saving Gurus againstMughals.
There are many Rajputs in the history ofSikhism: A few are -
