in the drama the bishops candle sticks the sergeant arrests the convict along the side of road and notices the candlesticks fall out of his pocket.the sergeant knows that the candlesticks belong to the bishop.so he brings the convict to bishops house.later bishop tells him that the convict is his friend and orders the sergeant to leave him.
