All those who want to spend time outdoors often carry a camera with them or use their smart phones and instantly upload their photos on social media. Only on Instagram there are millions of photos from all important nature reserves, endangered species and regions.
The rise of social media also resulted in greater concerns for the state of nature globally. All media, including social media, contribute to raising awareness about the issues in nature and give us guidance on how individuals can help.
The active use of social media can enhance the work focused on solving issues in nature as well as increase the quantity of information that reach the citizens. This is particularly important from the aspect of funding and supporting projects for the environment.
