Role of state and central pollution board

The role of a state pollution board is too "is a statutory organisation under the Ministry of Environment." It was established in 1974 to keep lakes clean and to reduce pollution in big bodies of water including, lakes, rivers, oceans, etc.. These are laws that would be obeyed and would be a huge fine if a person polluted and was caught. This is a big deal because when a person pollutes it could kill sea life because they could consume, or hurt them selves which would increase pollution.

Hope this helps!
