It is absolutely essential.

Technology is the reason we can live in warm, dry homes. Technology is the reason we can perform life-saving surgeries and operations. Technology is the reason we can store, prepare and cook food with incredible ease relative to the past. Technology is the reason we have endless forms of entertainment (all people need to be able to smile and laugh).

Without technology in any form we simply wouldn't be here today. Very few humans would be alive (relative to our current population) and their existence would be extremely difficult. It's a blessing that humans have the intelligence to create such incredible things, and it's something I thank God for.
