water has a great role in seed germination as water is needed to plant for food processes and plays a vital role in transpiration...so it is important for plants as absorbed by roots or else will dry off and die...

- Role of water in seed germination:
Germination begins with an increase in metabolic activity within the seed. - The seed has grown in size as a result of water absorption from the environment.
- It's possible that the seed's covering will wrinkle and fracture.
- The seed's embryonic root (radicle) develops and begins to grow into the earth.
- The stalk (plumule) likewise emerges from the soil and shoots upward.
