- The Vedic period was a free society where males and females enjoyed the freedom to live as wanted to.
- The women would attend the Veda, education and other fine arts skills.
- They were considered to be strong and called the ‘ardhangini’ and they enjoyed total freedom in society.
- They helped their husbands in the fields and there was no purdah system.
- The husbands would consult with their wives on the matters of finance and other important decisions.
