Cost of chocolate =(x+y) Rs
no. of chocolates=(x+y)
total amount paid by him= cost of 1 chocolate×no. of chocolates
=(x+y)(x+y)=x^2+y^2+2xy
if x=10 and y=5
then amount will be 10^2+5^2+2(10)(5)
=100+25+100=250Rs
