famous saying in English. Why do you
think people use this idiom? Why
is Rome used here? Why not other

It is used because Rome is a beautiful city which is also reffered as one of the birthplaces of Western Civilization.People use ROME as an example here because of it uniqueness in architectural built which was not completed in a day and took a lot of efforts to turn it into something which we admire today. Hence , it concludes that if we work hard with firm determination we should not expect success immediately.
