The height of Ron's brother is 146 cm .

Step-by-step explanation:

Given as :

The height of Ron = h = 80 cm

Let The height of Father = H

Let The height of brother = h'

Statement I

Height of Ron is half as his father height

i.e     height of Ron = \dfrac{1}{2} × height of father

Or,                        h =  \dfrac{1}{2} × H

Or,                        H = 2 h

∴                           H = 2 × 80 cm

i.e                         H = 160 cm

So, The height of father = H = 160 cm

Statement II

The height of brother is 14 cm shorter than height of father

i.e   height of brother = height of father - 14 cm

Or,                            h'' = H - 14 cm

Or,                            h'' = 160 cm - 14 cm

∴                               h'' = 146 cm

So, The height of brother = h'' = 146 cm

Hence, The height of Ron's brother is 146 cm . Answer
