 \sqrt{162 }  \div  \sqrt{2}  \\  \sqrt{ \frac{162}{2} }  =  \sqrt{81}  \\  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  =  \sqrt{9 \times 9}  \\  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  =  \:  \: 9

   √162/√2

⇒√2 × 9 × 9/√2

⇒9√2/√2

√2 is common in both numerator and denominator.

So cancel them out.
