hey mate there is a method called square root method or long division method where make a pair of two taking the digits from back.

now just see in the picture we have taken bars to show pairs of numbersm we have to take squares of numbers. as we are taking only one bar so the largest square will be of 1 that is 1 itself which can divide 2 further we add the number which we have taken as divisor after this we get 2 as divisor now we have to find a number like 4 with 2 means 24 and multiply it by 4 and again we get the largest number but smaller than 100 which is 96.further we need to just continue the same process.

hope you understand.

Therefore \sqrt{2} value is 1.4142

Step-by-step explanation:

Given;

\sqrt{2}=?

  • To find the square root value of a number, we usually check if the number is a perfect square or not. It is easy to find the root of perfect squares, but for non-perfect squares, we have to use the long division method to find the root value. Numbers like 2, 3, 5, 20, etc. are non-perfect squares, but 4, 9, 25, etc. are perfect squares, which gives the whole number when we take the root of them.

Following steps;

  • In this method, you have to first make an estimate meaning you have chosen a close number by finding at-least two roots which are perfect. It has been those root that your number is between.
  • Then, you can divide the number by one of those square roots.
  • Once you start and continue with the division process, you will need to take the average of the result of step 2 and the root. And finally, you can use the result that you get in step 3 to repeat the 2nd and 3rd step until you get a number that is satisfactory or accurate enough for you.

So, \sqrt{2} value is 1.4142
