let us assume that root 27 is rational...... root 27 = a/ b ( where a,b are co primes & b not = to 0). by squaring on both sides we get root 27 is irrational..........it contradiction the fact that root 27 is irrational

Step-by-step explanation:

27 = 3^3 = 3^2 * 3

sqrt(27) = sqrt(3^2* 3) = 3*sqrt(3)

sqrt(3) can't be expressed as the ratio of integers and when written as a decimal it does not terminate, so it is irrational. Thus sqrt(27) is itself irrational.
